The 10 Most Valuable Disneyland Hotel Redemptions

By Samantha Holland / June 6, 2022

The Disneyland Resort is 100 acres of theme park magic with just three Official Disney Resorts on property, making off-property lodging attractive. Because California Adventure was built right in the old parking lot at Disneyland with the front gates opposing each other, the parks are easily accessible to guests staying all around the perimeter. Many hotels are so close you can simply walk to and from the parks as needed.

With dozens of hotels to choose from, one way to narrow down your choice is to consider which properties offer the most value for your points redemption. Let’s look at the top five, numbers 6-10 and then a couple bonus properties we couldn’t resist sharing.

The Best Value Hotel Redemptions Around Disneyland

We surveyed over 65 Hilton, Hyatt, IHG and Marriott Anaheim-area properties. Almost every hotel (70%) that made our list is a Marriott property. Two IHG properties and one Hyatt property round out the top ten hotel redemptions. However, when you book a hotel redemption with Hyatt, you will not pay a resort fee; unlike Marriott. As with the most valuable Walt Disney World hotel redemptions, no Hilton properties made the list.

The Top 5 Disneyland Hotel Redemptions

The overall value derives from a combination of redemption value (average cost vs average point value for a week stay), distance from Disneyland and customer hotel rating. Let us start with the top five properties that made our best value list; in no particular order.

Final Thoughts

Marriott really is the brand of choice for Disney fans.
